Frequently asked questions

  • Is electroepilation safe?

Electrolysis is a proven hair removal method that has been around since 1875. Since then, modern technological advances and the best hair removal machines have proven that electrolysis is effective and safe when performed correctly. The key is that it is always performed by an expert.

In fact, electrolysis is the only method that has been legally declared safe by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and permanently removes hair of any color and texture.

Electrolysis is safe for all skin and hair types, and for people of all ages and nationalities. It's even tattoo safe. However, it is important to inform the electrologist master about all current and past health conditions.

  • Does it work?

A thin electrode (selected individually), which is inserted through the hair canal directly into the follicle (without damaging the skin), has a destructive effect on the hair follicle. A small current pulse is applied to the growth part of the hair and as a result the root is destroyed, the hair is removed with tweezers and never grows again!

In addition, electrolysis is considered the best way to deal with hairs that have appeared due to hormonal changes in the body.

It’s possible to remove only those hairs that are in the active phase of growth -ANOGENE. Hair that is in the dying phase - CATAGEN, or in the resting phase - TELOGEN, gradually growsover several months, therefore, in order to completely removeall unwanted hair, it is very important to regularly go to the electrolysis procedure at the indicated time.

Normally, for a healthy person, about 70% of the hair on the skin surface is in the anagen stage, about 20% is in the catagen stage. We have a significant supply of follicles, with many of them being in a dormant stage (telogen).

  • Sensation during electroepilation

Pain sensations from electrolysis can be different even for the same person on different occasions:

“Today it was more painful”, “and now it didn’t hurt at all” - we sometimes hear from our clients.

Here are the factors that affect pain:

    • individual threshold of sensitivity.We are all different and the sensation to pain may be different;
    • phase of the menstrual cycle.During menstruation, as well as 2-3 days before it, during ovulation, the pain threshold decreases. This is due to hormonal changes.
    • psycho-emotional state. If you feel hungry, cold, tired, if there is a sleep disturbance and you are in a bad mood for a long time, electrolysis will seem more painful.

If you do not want to postpone the procedure, you can use an anesthetic.

  • How much time does it take

Electrolysis is a procedure that is paid by the minute. It is logical that you want to know how long will the procedure take?

It's very individual.Since it all depends on the amount of hair - which is different for everyone. The more hair you have the more time the procedure will take.

So, the approximate time by zone:

    • armpits 120-180 minutes
    • deep bikini from 360 minutes
    • classic bikini from 1 to 4 hours
    • shins from 2 to 10 hours
    • face from 30 minutes to 2 hours
    • belly line from 15 minutes to 2 hours
    • toes 10 to 60 minutes

The master will be able to tell a more specific time after the first procedure. Our advice to beginners is to sign up for 1 hour - the master will be able to fully assess the volume of the hairline - then it will be possible to make time estimation for your specific case.

To get acquainted with the procedure and calculate your individual time, we have a free 10 minutes (needle and electrode are paid separately).

  • Can electroepilation stimulate hair growth

No - electrolysis works by 'soldering' the blood supply to the root of the hair, so it cannot stimulate more hair growth.

  • Is the hair really removed forever

Electrolysis is the ONLY FDA APPROVED PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL method. This means that your hair will not grow back after you complete the course of electrolysis, even if a hormonal imbalance ever occurs.

The following methods cannot permanently remove excess hair. They can guarantee hair reduction only for a while:

    • Electroepilation in one course of 5-15 procedures (approximately 0.5-2 years) without repetitions. At the same time, each subsequent session is shorter than the previous one
